Peoria, IL – A 44-year-old man was found shot inside a wrecked vehicle early Thursday morning in Peoria.
According to Peoria Police, officers were conducting a traffic stop around 1:47 a.m. in the 2100 block of W. Gilbert when they heard gunshots nearby. They discovered the vehicle in a front yard on W. Forrest Hill. The victim was transported to a local hospital where he was later pronounced dead. The Peoria County Coroner will release the victim’s identity and cause of death.
