Peoria, IL – Two juveniles were arrested late Saturday night following a vehicle theft and police pursuit in Peoria, according to a statement from the Peoria Police Department.

Officers responded around 11:40 p.m. on December 13, 2025, to a report of a stolen motor vehicle in the 2000 block of W. Forrest Hill Avenue. During their investigation, police observed the stolen vehicle traveling southbound on N. Mollock Drive. When officers attempted a traffic stop, three male suspects allegedly exited the car and ran.

Police apprehended a 16-year-old male near W. Fallen Oak and a 15-year-old male near W. Sunburst Lane after a brief foot pursuit. A third suspect was not located, police said.

Both teens were taken to the Peoria Police Department for questioning. The 15-year-old, who was wanted on an active warrant, was transported to the Juvenile Detention Center. The 16-year-old faces multiple charges including Motor Vehicle Theft, Possession of a Stolen Motor Vehicle, Resisting a Peace Officer, Possession of Burglary Tools, Reckless Driving, and Traffic Violations. He was later released to his guardian.
