Peoria & Bloomington Forecast: Wet Tuesday Night Followed by Sunny, Cool Pattern

Lincoln, IL – A passing storm system will bring wet and breezy conditions to central Illinois through midweek before cooler, drier weather returns, according to the National Weather Service in Lincoln.

Forecasters expect increasing showers through Tuesday afternoon, becoming widespread tonight with rain chances between 60–90%. Temperatures will stay mild, with highs near 55–60°F and lows in the 40s overnight.

Wednesday will feature lingering rain early, tapering off by evening as skies begin to clear. Conditions improve Thursday through Saturday, with partly cloudy skies, daytime highs in the upper 50s, and overnight lows dropping into the 30s.

The NWS notes that temperatures will remain slightly below seasonal averages through the end of the week, and a few light showers may return by Saturday night.

Residents can expect a classic cool late-October pattern, with calm, dry weather settling in after the midweek rainfall.
