Pittsburgh, PA – A mix of rain and snow is expected in Pittsburgh on Friday night, bringing slick roads and reduced visibility before warmer temperatures arrive this weekend. Residents should prepare for possible minor accumulations and wet road conditions before a return to sunny skies.

According to the National Weather Service, precipitation is expected to begin Friday night, with a 90% chance of snow mixing with rain, primarily before midnight. Winds will be from the west at 5 to 7 mph, and temperatures will drop to around 30°F. Little to no snow accumulation is expected, but wet roads could become hazardous.

By Saturday, skies will clear, and sunshine will return, bringing a high near 48°F. Overnight temperatures will dip to around 27°F with mostly clear skies. Sunday will be even warmer, with highs reaching 50°F and mostly sunny conditions.

Looking ahead, Pittsburgh will see a continued warming trend next week. Monday and Tuesday will bring sunny skies, with highs reaching 58°F and 66°F, respectively. By Wednesday, a chance of rain returns, with a 30% probability of precipitation.

As a reminder, Daylight Saving Time begins Sunday, March 10, so clocks should be set forward one hour. The extra evening daylight will align with the upcoming mild temperatures, signaling the start of spring-like weather in Pittsburgh.
