Philadelphia, Pennsylvania – A noticeable break from winter’s chill is settling across eastern Pennsylvania and New Jersey as temperatures begin a steady climb Monday, bringing clouds, milder air, and the potential for light precipitation by Tuesday night.
According to the National Weather Service office in Mount Holly, a series of weak systems will move through the region through Tuesday, gradually raising temperatures after a cold start to the week. Highs Monday are expected to range from the upper 20s to low 40s across the broader forecast area, with mainly cloudy skies. A small chance of light snow exists north and west of Interstate 95, though any accumulation is expected to be minimal.
By Tuesday, temperatures rise significantly, reaching the upper 30s to low 50s. Light rain may develop Tuesday night, particularly across northern areas including the Poconos, where pockets of light freezing rain could briefly occur after sunset. Motorists traveling along I-80, Route 33, and higher elevations should remain alert for isolated slick spots late Tuesday night.
Conditions improve further Wednesday as highs reach the 40s and 50s under partly to mostly sunny skies. The warming trend is expected to continue beyond midweek, and forecasters say additional updates or advisories could be issued if precipitation timing changes. Residents are encouraged to monitor local alerts as the pattern transitions toward milder conditions.
