Philadelphia, Pa. – A stretch of late-summer warmth will settle over Philadelphia and much of southeastern Pennsylvania starting Friday, with highs climbing into the low to mid-80s through early next week.

According to the National Weather Service, Friday begins with increasing clouds before skies clear out for a mostly sunny Saturday. Highs will range from 81 to 84 degrees, with overnight lows holding steady in the lower 60s. Winds are expected to remain light and variable, reducing concerns for any weather-related travel impacts across the city.

Drivers heading onto I-95, the Schuylkill Expressway, or regional routes into Montgomery and Bucks counties should find clear road conditions through the weekend. Outdoor events in Center City, University City, and the suburbs will see near-ideal weather, though some cloud cover is possible overnight.

Residents are encouraged to take advantage of the mild stretch before cooler air returns by midweek, when daytime highs dip into the upper 70s by Thursday. Emergency officials do not anticipate significant weather hazards during this period, though morning fog could develop in rural areas outside the city.

Mostly sunny skies are expected to dominate through Tuesday, giving Philadelphia several days of calm, comfortable weather.
