Pennsylvania – A cold, gray sky hangs over Philadelphia this morning, and temperatures are stuck at 32 degrees. Wet pavement and a raw breeze set the stage for a messy turn by late evening, when rain flips to snow before 1 a.m. Monday.
According to the National Weather Service in Mount Holly, a 90% chance of rain and snow develops tonight with less than an inch of snow accumulation possible. Lows dip to 33 degrees with a northeast wind near 5 mph. Even a slushy coating could create slick bridges along I-95 and the Schuylkill Expressway by early Monday.
Through today, skies stay mostly cloudy with a high near 43. A few light showers may develop after 5 p.m. Plan for damp sidewalks and reduced visibility at times. Keep winter coats handy.
By Monday, clouds linger with a high near 42. Roads may still be wet for the morning commute. With temperatures hovering near freezing late at night, flash freezing remains a concern if moisture refreezes on untreated surfaces.
Tuesday, February 17, brings a noticeable thaw. Highs climb to 48 degrees under partly sunny skies. That milder air continues into midweek. Rain chances return Wednesday afternoon with highs near 45, followed by more scattered showers into Thursday and Friday as temperatures push toward 50.
Looking ahead to President’s Day Week, longer-range guidance signals above-normal temperatures building east. Much of the central U.S. runs 10 to 20 degrees above average, and that warmth edges toward the Mid-Atlantic late week into next weekend.

Monday: Mostly cloudy, high 42.
Tuesday: Partly sunny, high 48.
