State College, Pa. – Drivers across central Pennsylvania may face reduced visibility early Monday as patchy fog forms before sunshine takes over by afternoon. Motorists on U.S. Route 322 and local backroads should plan for extra travel time during the morning commute.

According to the National Weather Service in State College, fog is likely until around 9 a.m. Monday before skies clear to mostly sunny with highs in the low 80s. The calm, dry pattern that follows will stretch into midweek, with only a few cloudy breaks at night.

Sunday’s weather brings full sunshine and highs in the low 80s, setting the tone for a warm and quiet September stretch. Monday night remains mild with lows in the mid-50s under partly cloudy skies. By Tuesday, temperatures hold near 80, with another round of early morning fog possible.

Travelers should use headlights, slow down, and avoid sudden lane changes if fog develops Monday morning. Area schools and morning commuters could see delays in some valleys, especially in low-lying sections of Centre County.

Looking ahead, high pressure keeps conditions warm and dry through Friday. While clouds may return at times, no rain appears in the five-day outlook, offering residents a steady stretch of fall-like weather.

More updates will be issued if dense fog advisories are needed for Monday morning travel.
