State College, PA – Drivers in central Pennsylvania could face slick roads and stormy skies beginning Monday evening as a multi-day stretch of wet weather moves in. A series of showers and thunderstorms is expected to impact State College and surrounding areas starting late Monday and continuing through midweek.

According to the National Weather Service in State College, showers become likely after 2 p.m. Monday with heavier rainfall and possible thunderstorms arriving by Monday night. Precipitation chances rise to 70% Monday evening and jump to 90% on Tuesday. New rainfall amounts could total up to half an inch by Tuesday night, especially during thunderstorms.

U.S. Route 322, which cuts through the region, could see reduced visibility and ponding during peak Tuesday morning and afternoon commutes. Winds are expected to stay below 10 mph but may gust during storms.

Residents are urged to secure outdoor items, check storm drains, and allow extra travel time. Tuesday and Wednesday remain wet with an 80–90% rain chance, and isolated thunderstorms possible Tuesday night into early Wednesday.
