Pennsylvania – Warm air is settling over Pittsburgh this afternoon, but clouds and a developing storm pattern are already lining up to bring rounds of rain and possible thunderstorms over the next several days. The dry start won’t last long as conditions begin to shift quickly.

According to the National Weather Service, highs reach near 80°F today before showers move in Monday with a 60 percent chance, mainly after late morning. Winds could gust up to 28 mph, and rainfall may increase briefly during heavier downpours.

Drivers along I-376, I-79, and Route 28 should prepare for changing conditions by Monday afternoon. Wet pavement and gusty winds could reduce visibility and slow traffic. Plan extra time and stay alert for sudden slowdowns.

Tuesday brings warmer air with highs near 83°F, but scattered showers and thunderstorms develop after 5 p.m. The risk increases Tuesday night with a 50 percent chance of storms, some producing brief heavy rain and lightning.

By Wednesday and Thursday, the unsettled pattern continues. Rain chances hold around 40 percent each day, keeping roads damp and conditions variable. Commuters should expect periodic slow travel and slick spots, especially during peak hours.

This active spring setup reflects a broader storm track moving across the Midwest into the Northeast. Conditions may change quickly, and additional advisories could be issued.

Five Day Outlook for Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania:
Today: Mostly sunny, high 80°F
Monday: Showers likely, high 75°F
Tuesday: Chance of showers, high 83°F
Wednesday: Chance of showers, high 85°F
Thursday: Chance of showers, high 84°F
