State College, PA – A Dense Fog Advisory is in effect for several northern Pennsylvania counties until 9 a.m. Wednesday, according to the National Weather Service (NWS) in State College.
The advisory impacts Cambria, Cameron, Clearfield, Elk, McKean, Northern Centre, Northern Clinton, Potter, and Warren Counties, where visibility is expected to drop to a quarter-mile or less. Drivers in the affected areas should expect hazardous conditions, particularly on rural and mountainous roads.
According to the NWS, the fog will persist through the early morning hours before gradually lifting as temperatures rise. Motorists are urged to reduce speed, use headlights, and increase following distances while driving in foggy conditions.
Travelers in cities such as Johnstown, DuBois, Philipsburg, Warren, and Bradfordshould prepare for delays and reduced visibility during the morning commute.
