Philadelphia, PA – Clouds and a chill in the air will greet early risers Saturday across Pennsylvania, as lows dip into the upper 40s ahead of Memorial Day weekend. Though skies begin mostly clear, a noticeable shift toward warmer, sunnier conditions is expected through Monday.
According to the National Weather Service in Mount Holly, Philadelphia will see a high near 66°F on Saturday with light west winds. Overnight Saturday into Sunday, temps will drop again to around 49°F under mostly clear skies. Sunday brings more sunshine and slightly warmer temps, with a high near 69°F—ideal for outdoor plans.
Memorial Day Monday looks even better: mostly sunny skies with a high near 73°F. While the first half of the long weekend stays dry and pleasant, a noticeable weather shift begins Tuesday. Clouds return and rain chances increase—up to 40% Tuesday and Tuesday night. Daytime highs will hover near 70°F before another round of showers is likely on Wednesday.
Travelers using I-95 or heading to Jersey Shore destinations should stay alert for foggy patches early Friday and possible wet roads by midweek. Anyone camping or planning barbecues should take advantage of Saturday through Monday’s calm, dry stretch.
Expect cooler nights with lows dipping into the low 50s and even upper 40s in suburban areas through Sunday night. By Wednesday and Thursday, more rain and slightly warmer lows around 57°F could bring a humid close to the week.
Weather alerts may be updated as precipitation chances increase after Monday.
