Philadelphia, Pa. – Drivers and residents across southeastern Pennsylvania face an early Sunday challenge as a Coastal Flood Advisory remains in effect until 6 a.m. in Philadelphia. With tides running higher than normal, low-lying areas near the Delaware River could see water on roadways, including stretches of I-95 near Penn’s Landing. Residents are urged to avoid flooded intersections and prepare for slick overnight conditions.

According to the National Weather Service, a line of showers and isolated thunderstorms may pass through the city late Sunday night into early Monday. Rain chances taper off by dawn, leaving behind mostly clear skies and temperatures dropping into the low 60s. Winds remain light but could shift south through the morning hours.

By Monday, August 25, skies will brighten with highs in the mid-80s, offering a drier and calmer start to the week. West winds around 10 mph will keep humidity in check, making outdoor activities more comfortable compared to recent sticky days.

Tuesday stays pleasant with sunshine and highs near 79, though a few clouds return by evening. The midweek stretch brings mild nights in the upper 50s to low 60s and daytime highs in the mid-70s. By Friday, temperatures hover near 78 before climbing back to the upper 70s Saturday under partly cloudy skies.

Residents should continue monitoring advisories, especially near rivers and creeks, as additional updates may be issued with changing tides.
