Pittsburgh, PA Motorists may have experienced traffic delays this morning after a multi-vehicle crash blocked lanes on I-376 eastbound near the I-279 North exit.

According to the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation, the crash occurred at approximately 8:29 a.m. just west of the I-279 North interchange. Emergency crews and tow services responded to the scene, working to clear the vehicles and debris. All lanes were reported open by 9:11 a.m., nearly an hour ahead of the anticipated 10 a.m. deadline.

Officials did not release details on the number of vehicles involved or whether injuries were reported due to the crash. The incident caused significant slowdowns for drivers heading into downtown Pittsburgh during the morning rush. Traffic began to return to normal shortly after lanes reopened.

PennDOT, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation, urges motorists to drive with caution in high-traffic corridors and remain alert for sudden slowdowns or stopped vehicles. Commuters can stay informed through the 511PA system for live traffic updates, especially during peak travel hours.
