Paradise Township, PA – A 68-year-old woman was allegedly attacked in her Lancaster County home Tuesday afternoon after answering her door to a man disguised in black clothing, according to state police.
According to Pennsylvania State Police Troop J – Lancaster, the assault occurred around 3:35 p.m. at a residence in the 200 block of South Belmont Road. The woman was allegedly tased and punched in the face by an unidentified suspect described as a white male, thin build, standing between 5-foot-8 and 5-foot-10. He was reportedly wearing a black baseball cap, sunglasses, a medical mask and all-black clothing.
Investigators said the man was seen walking along South Belmont Road before the incident and fled toward Strasburg Road after the assault. Troopers are urging anyone with video footage from the area to come forward.
Authorities are asking anyone with information to contact the PSP Lancaster Barracks at 717-299-7656 or submit an anonymous tip through the PSP Tips hotline at 1-800-472-8477. Tips may also be submitted online at p3tips.com. Police said callers could be eligible for a cash reward if their information leads to an arrest.
The investigation remains ongoing.
