Scranton, PA – Authorities in Pennsylvania are offering a $5,000 reward for information that leads to a breakthrough in the decades-old disappearance of Michelle Jolene Lakey, who vanished at age 11 while walking home in Scranton in 1986.

Lakey, who also went by Jolene, was last seen on August 26, 1986, after visiting her mother at Mercy Hospital. She was walking home with a friend when they parted ways on Myrtle Street. Her friend watched Jolene continue alone toward North Washington Avenue, but she never arrived.

According to the Pennsylvania State Police, Troop R in Dunmore, witnesses reported seeing a girl matching Jolene’s description enter a light-yellow car about a block from her family’s home. She was never seen again.

Her last known address was on the 1300 block of North Washington Avenue in Scranton, Lackawanna County.
