Indiana, PA – Pennsylvania State Police are investigating an attempted kidnapping that occurred Wednesday evening in Center Township after a teenage girl reported being grabbed by an unknown male outside her home.
According to Pennsylvania State Police Troop A, the incident happened around 8:30 p.m. along the 300 block of Apple Lane when a 17-year-old girl was walking home. Troopers said she stopped in her driveway and noticed a man standing nearby before he allegedly grabbed her arm. The teen reported that the man did not say anything, and she was able to pull away and flee.
Investigators said the suspect was described as a male of average build, dressed in all black and wearing a ski mask. Troopers canvassed the neighborhood, interviewed residents, and reviewed surveillance footage, but no further information was discovered.
Authorities said the incident was reported at approximately 9:15 p.m., shortly after the girl escaped. State Police are urging residents in the area to remain alert and report any suspicious activity.
