Philadelphia, Pa. – Drivers across the Delaware Valley started the weekend under a blanket of fog, but clearer skies are on the way by this afternoon. Conditions will shift to partly cloudy with seasonable highs ranging from the upper 70s in coastal areas to the mid-80s inland.

According to the National Weather Service in Mount Holly, high pressure remains in control, keeping the region dry through tonight. Another round of patchy fog is expected to develop overnight, especially in low-lying areas and near waterways, which could reduce visibility for early Sunday travelers.

Cities including Philadelphia, Trenton, Wilmington, and Atlantic City should see afternoon highs near 80 to 85 degrees before cooling into the upper 50s and low 60s tonight. The New Jersey coast also carries a moderate risk of rip currents today, a concern for beachgoers heading into the weekend.

Residents are advised to use caution if driving late tonight or early Sunday morning when fog thickens again. Conditions are expected to stay seasonable into early next week with more dry weather dominating.
