Bloomsburg, PA – Pennsylvania State Police in Shickshinny are searching for a suspect accused of committing identity theft and fraud across Pennsylvania and New Jersey earlier this week.

According to Pennsylvania State Police Troop P, the incidents occurred between Tuesday and Thursday and involved more than $8,500 in fraudulent deposits made using stolen checks from the victim’s checkbook. The suspect allegedly conducted the transactions at multiple ATMs in Bloomsburg and Berwick, Pennsylvania, as well as Forked River, New Jersey.

Authorities said the individual also made unauthorized withdrawals totaling $1,700, including transactions in Bloomsburg and Atlantic City, New Jersey. Police released images of the suspect and are asking for the public’s help in identifying the person involved.
