Hamburg, PA – Pennsylvania State Police are asking for the public’s help identifying a man suspected of cashing a fraudulent check worth $1,500 at a New Jersey bank last month.

According to PSP Troop L – Hamburg Station, the incident occurred on September 18, 2025, at the Fulton Bank on Haddonfield Avenue in Cherry Hill, New Jersey. Investigators say the suspect allegedly cashed a washed check originally written to Brendon White. The victim reportedly mailed the check from a drop box in front of the post office in Hamburg Borough, Berks County.

Authorities believe the check was stolen, altered, and then cashed in another state. The Pennsylvania State Police released surveillance photos showing a man wearing a tie-dye shirt and green hat at the time of the transaction.

Anyone who recognizes the individual is urged to contact the PSP Hamburg Station at (610) 562-6885, PSP Tips at 1-800-472-8477, or online at p3tips.com.

Police say tipsters could be eligible for a cash reward if their information leads to an arrest or the solving of a related case.
