Meadville, PA – Authorities in Crawford County are renewing efforts to solve the 2022 disappearance of Debra Sue Daniel, a 61-year-old Meadville woman whose case has now been classified as a homicide investigation, according to Pennsylvania State Police.

According to PSP Troop E–Meadville and the Meadville City Police Department, Daniel was last seen on August 13, 2022, exiting her Holland Towers apartment in Meadville with a known male. Surveillance confirmed she left the area in a vehicle with him, but she has not been seen or heard from since.

Investigators said Daniel was passionate about animals and maintained daily contact with friends and family, making her disappearance highly unusual. She did not own a vehicle but frequently visited her mother at Edinboro Manor. Friends reported concern after she failed to make contact or collect personal belongings.

Authorities later determined early reports placing her at Edinboro Manor on August 15 were incorrect. New findings led investigators to learn the male companion traveled with Daniel to State Game Lands 69, where she was last known to be.

The case, initially treated as a missing person report, has since escalated to a homicide investigation based on newly developed information. A $2,000 reward is being offered for credible leads.

Anyone with information is urged to contact PSP Meadville at (814) 332-6911 or submit a tip at p3tips.com/tipform.aspx?ID=107.
