Upper Chichester Township, PA – Pennsylvania State Police are actively searching for a Chester man wanted in connection with a deadly highway shooting that occurred in October 2024 on I-95 northbound.
According to the Pennsylvania State Police Media Barracks, the incident happened around 1:22 a.m. on October 7, 2024, near mile marker 1.6 in Upper Chichester Township, Delaware County. Troopers responded to reports of a shooting and discovered Chris Gordy inside a vehicle, deceased from multiple gunshot wounds. A second passenger was also found injured by gunfire.
Following an investigation, authorities charged Ronald Collins and Daryl Beckett, both of Chester, with Murder of the First Degree, Conspiracy, and numerous firearms violations. Collins, 36, was apprehended by police on December 12, 2024. Beckett, however, remains at large.
Beckett, whose last known address is 117 Hayes Street in Chester, is considered armed and dangerous. He faces a lengthy list of charges including multiple counts of murder, aggravated assault, possession of a prohibited firearm, and carrying firearms without a license.
Authorities describe Beckett as a Black male, 6’1” tall, weighing 175 pounds, with brown eyes and black hair. He was born on January 26, 1989.
