Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania – A soggy and unsettled weather pattern is settling in across western Pennsylvania, bringing multiple rounds of showers and thunderstorms that will disrupt plans through the middle of the week.

According to the National Weather Service, a flood watch remains in effect for the Pittsburgh area until 10 p.m. Monday evening. While the immediate threat of heavy rain will diminish overnight, the region is not in the clear, as more widespread precipitation is expected to return. Residents should remain vigilant for any lingering high water on roadways and in low-lying areas.

The workweek will start with a chance of showers and thunderstorms after 3 a.m. Monday, carrying into the daylight hours with a high near 66 degrees. The most significant activity arrives Tuesday, when showers and possible thunderstorms are likely, especially after 11 a.m. The high will climb to a warmer 81 degrees, but the 60% chance of precipitation could impact travel and outdoor activities.

Conditions remain turbulent into Wednesday, with a slight chance of showers before 11 a.m., followed by a likelihood of thunderstorms later in the afternoon. The threat of rain continues into the evening, with a 70% chance of showers and thunderstorms before 8 p.m. The high for Wednesday will be around 86 degrees.

For those planning activities for Juneteenth, expect more showers and a high near 83 degrees. The unsettled weather continues into the weekend forecast, with partly sunny skies and a high near 82 on Friday before a mostly sunny and hot Saturday with a high near 88 degrees. A chance for showers and thunderstorms returns Sunday.
