New Castle, PA – A renewed call for justice has been issued in a decades-old Pennsylvania cold case, as authorities offer a $5,000 reward for information leading to the arrest of whoever killed Julie Rae Conway in 1993.
According to Pennsylvania State Police Troop D – New Castle Barracks, Conway, 35, was last seen on August 28, 1993, after shopping at the Lawrence Village Plaza in Lawrence County. Surveillance and receipts confirmed she had made a purchase at a nearby hardware store but never returned home. Her Pontiac sedan was later found in the parking lot of the plaza.
On September 6, 1993, Conway’s body was discovered in a limestone quarry in Shenango Township. Authorities determined she had been fatally shot, and her death was ruled a homicide.
