Valley View, PA – Pennsylvania State Police are renewing their investigation into the decades-old disappearance of Randall Brosius, offering a $5,000 reward for information that helps solve the case nearly 48 years later.

According to Pennsylvania State Police Troop H – Harrisburg, Brosius was 22 years old when he disappeared on January 21, 1977. He was last seen driving east on Route 209 in Williamstown, Dauphin County, after leaving the parking lot of Mace’s Blue Fountain Motel.

Police say Brosius was traveling with two men from Florida — Kenneth H. Lenker and Richard Green — at the time he was last seen. Both men were later located in Cocoa, Florida, but were never arrested in connection with Brosius’ disappearance.

During Christmas of 1976, Brosius’ parents allegedly received threatening phone calls from an unknown caller demanding $500. According to police, the caller claimed to have information about Brosius’ alleged involvement in a marijuana deal and threatened to mutilate him if the ransom was not paid. Brosius’ mother reportedly gathered the money and arranged to meet the caller in Williamstown, but no one ever appeared.

Authorities say Brosius was insulin-dependent due to diabetes and did not have insulin with him when he disappeared — a detail investigators have long considered critical.

At the time he vanished, Brosius was described as 5 feet 6 inches tall, weighing about 140 pounds, with brown hair, blue eyes, and a mustache. He walked with a noticeable limp due to a severe leg fracture sustained in a previous accident and also had a mangled finger.

State police continue to investigate the case as a suspected foul-play disappearance. Anyone with information is urged to contact PSP Harrisburg at 717-671-7500, PSP Tips at 1-800-472-8477, or submit tips online at p3tips.com. Tipsters may be eligible for a $5,000 cash reward.
