Pittsburgh, PA – Residents across western Pennsylvania should prepare for a mix of rain, sleet, and snow this week as a series of weather systems move through the region. Temperatures will fluctuate, bringing a mix of precipitation that could make travel hazardous, especially midweek.

According to the National Weather Service, Monday will be mostly cloudy with a high near 58°F, but colder air moves in Tuesday night. Wednesday will bring a wintry mix, with freezing rain and sleet possible in the morning before turning to rain in the afternoon. Roads may be slick during the morning commute.

By Wednesday night, heavier rainfall is expected, with a 90% chance of precipitation. The system will linger into Thursday, bringing widespread rain before tapering off by Thursday night. Highs will remain in the upper 30s to low 40s through the latter half of the week.

Drivers should stay updated on road conditions, especially along I-376 and I-79, where ice could create hazardous travel conditions. Prepare for potential delays and slippery roads.
