Pendleton, OR – Eastern Oregon residents should prepare for a sharp temperature climb, with highs pushing into the triple digits by Monday and heat holding through at least midweek. Sunny skies and light winds will dominate, but the rising heat will increase the risk of heat-related illness, particularly for outdoor workers and vulnerable populations.

According to the National Weather Service, Pendleton will reach a high near 84°F Friday before gradually warming over the weekend. Saturday’s high will be close to 89°F, followed by 95°F Sunday and a peak of 100°F Monday. Overnight lows will range from the mid-50s to mid-60s, offering only limited cooling.

Residents are urged to drink plenty of water, avoid strenuous outdoor activity during peak afternoon heat, and check on elderly neighbors. With no rain in sight, wildfire danger will also remain elevated in grassy and rural areas.

The hot, dry pattern is expected to persist through Tuesday before temperatures ease slightly by midweek. More heat advisories could be issued if the warm stretch extends into late week.
