Pendleton, Ore. – Warm, sunny afternoons and cool, clear nights will carry Pendleton and much of eastern Oregon through the weekend as summerlike weather lingers across the region. Afternoon highs are holding in the mid-80s, with little relief until Sunday when temperatures dip closer to 80.

According to the National Weather Service in Pendleton, winds remain light and variable during the day, occasionally shifting northwest at 5 to 7 mph by evening. Overnight lows will stay comfortable in the low to mid-50s, keeping nights mild and dry.

The dry stretch means excellent conditions for outdoor events, but residents should remain cautious of increasing late-summer fire danger across Umatilla County and surrounding rangelands. Campfires should be monitored closely, and travelers are urged to avoid parking on dry grass.

Sunny skies dominate through Saturday, while Sunday will bring slightly cooler air with highs near 80. By Monday, the area warms back toward the upper 80s before easing into the low 80s by midweek. No rain is expected, leaving farmers, ranchers, and outdoor workers facing another dry spell.

The clear and calm weather pattern is expected to last into Tuesday, with only slight cooling as the week progresses.
