Pedestrian Killed in Double Hit-and-Run on Route 806: Virginia Police Urge Public Help

Fauquier County, VA – Virginia State Police are urgently seeking the public’s assistance to identify two vehicles involved in a deadly hit-and-run crash on Friday. The incident took place around 5:47 p.m. on Route 806 (Elk Run Road) near Flippo Lane, where an adult male pedestrian lost his life after being struck by two vehicles that both fled the scene.

According to Virginia State Police, the man was walking eastbound across Route 806 when he was first struck by a silver Nissan SUV traveling north. Moments later, an unknown southbound vehicle also struck the pedestrian. Neither driver stopped to render aid or call emergency services, leaving the victim to succumb to his injuries at the scene.

Authorities describe the initial vehicle as a late 1990s to early 2000s Nissan SUV with likely front-end damage. The second vehicle involved may also have front-end damage, but no other details are known. Police are asking witnesses or anyone with information on the vehicles to come forward, as they work urgently to solve this case.

The crash remains under active investigation, and Virginia State Police emphasize that any details, no matter how small, could prove crucial. Community members who may have been traveling on Route 806 during the time of the accident are encouraged to review any dashcam footage or recollect any unusual vehicle sightings.
