According to the Parke County Sheriff’s Office, deputies stopped a vehicle around 7:49 p.m. on C.R. 1025 N. and Towpath Road. The driver, identified as Vernard McClain, 66, of Tangier, was allegedly found in possession of methamphetamine and marijuana.

Deputies arrested McClain at the scene. He was later booked into the Parke County Jail, where his bond was set at $10,000, officials said.
