Rockville, IN – A late-night traffic stop in Rockville led to multiple arrests and drug-related charges, according to the Parke County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies stopped a vehicle around 9:59 p.m. on October 13, 2025, and arrested the driver, Austin Schlee, 19, of Rockville, for allegedly operating while intoxicated on a controlled substance. After the arrest, deputies obtained a search warrant for Schlee’s home on Ohio Street, where they reportedly discovered drugs and additional suspects.
According to deputies, a 17-year-old male was arrested inside the residence for possession of methamphetamine, possession of marijuana, maintaining a common nuisance, and possession of paraphernalia.
During the search, another man was allegedly found hiding in a bathroom and gave deputies a false name. He was later identified as James Czarnecke, 26, of Terre Haute, and arrested for false informing, visiting a common nuisance, and on an outstanding Sullivan County warrant for operating while intoxicated.
Following the investigation, Schlee was additionally charged with dealing methamphetamine, possession of methamphetamine, maintaining a common nuisance, and possession of marijuana. Schlee’s bond was set at $10,000, while Czarnecke’s was set at $3,000.
Rockville Police and Indiana Conservation Officers assisted in the operation.
