When deputies arrived, they found Patricia Matheny, 45, of Terre Haute, at the scene attempting to free the vehicle.

Investigators say deputies determined Matheny had allegedly entered the residence without permission and taken several items from inside the home. The nature of the items taken was not immediately released by authorities.

Matheny was taken into custody at the scene and arrested on charges of burglary and residential entry. According to the sheriff’s office, she is currently being held without bond at the Parke County Jail.
