Amarillo, TX – Sunny skies and mild temperatures will dominate the Texas Panhandle this week, offering residents a break from harsh weather. Highs will reach the mid-50s to lower 60s, while winds will remain light, creating calm conditions for travelers and outdoor plans.

According to the National Weather Service, cloud cover will move into the area Tuesday, accompanied by southwest winds of 10 to 20 mph, with gusts as high as 25 mph. However, skies are expected to clear by Wednesday, with highs reaching 60 degrees under mostly sunny conditions. Those planning midweek activities can expect stable weather.

Tonight, temperatures will drop to the mid-30s under mostly clear skies, with southeast winds picking up to 10 mph. Tuesday’s high of 58 degrees will feel breezy in some areas due to increasing wind speeds. Road conditions, particularly on I-40 and nearby highways, are expected to stay dry and ideal for commuters.

By Thursday, sunny conditions will persist, with temperatures climbing near 60 degrees. Residents can anticipate calm winds transitioning southeastward in the afternoon. Clear nights with lows in the 30s will round out the forecast into the weekend.

With no rain or severe conditions expected this week, it’s an excellent time for residents to complete outdoor chores or enjoy local activities. Be mindful of the breezy conditions Tuesday when securing loose outdoor items.
