Palm Springs, CA – A prolonged blast of desert heat will push temperatures to 110°F by 10 a.m. Wednesday, creating life-threatening conditions across inland Southern California through Saturday evening.

According to the National Weather Service in San Diego, an Extreme Heat Warning remains in effect from 10 a.m. Wednesday to 8 p.m. Saturday for the Coachella Valley, San Diego County deserts, and the San Gorgonio Pass. Daytime highs will range from 105 to 110°F in Palm Springs, Indio, and Borrego Springs, with slightly lower but still dangerous readings of 98 to 108°F near Banning.
