Paducah, KY – A wetter pattern is setting up across western Kentucky this week as daily rain chances increase and temperatures trend downward, according to the National Weather Service in Paducah.
Forecasters said isolated showers may develop Saturday, but rain chances expand Sunday through Tuesday with scattered thunderstorms likely each afternoon and evening.
According to the National Weather Service, temperatures will also take a noticeable dip. Highs near Paducah and surrounding counties are expected to reach 88–92 degrees on Saturday, fall into the mid-to-upper 80s on Monday, and then cool further into the upper 70s to low 80s by Tuesday. Overnight lows will remain in the 60s throughout the period.
The increase in cloud cover and rain could bring localized heavy downpours and brief gusty winds, though widespread severe weather is not currently anticipated. Meteorologists caution that outdoor activities, especially in the afternoons, may be interrupted by passing storms.
Drivers should remain alert to slick road conditions during heavier rainfall, and residents are encouraged to keep an eye on updated forecasts as conditions evolve.
