Paducah, Kentucky – Unseasonably mild temperatures will continue across western Kentucky through midweek before conditions turn unsettled with a chance of strong thunderstorms Thursday night.
According to the National Weather Service in Paducah, dense fog this morning will give way to a mix of sun and clouds and highs between 59 and 65 degrees. Temperatures will continue climbing Tuesday and Wednesday, reaching the upper 60s to mid-70s by midweek.
Thursday is expected to be the warmest day, with highs between 70 and 75 degrees ahead of an approaching system. Scattered thunderstorms are forecast to develop Thursday afternoon and evening. A few storms could become strong to severe, though specific details remain uncertain at this time.
Rain chances decrease Friday, but cooler air will move in, bringing highs back into the 50s and lower 60s heading into the weekend.
Residents across western Kentucky, southern Illinois, southeast Missouri, and northwest Tennessee should monitor forecast updates as Thursday’s storm potential becomes clearer.
