Paducah, KY – A warming trend continues across western Kentucky and southwest Indiana as southerly winds return, pushing temperatures well above average through Saturday, according to the National Weather Service (NWS) in Paducah.
According to NWS forecasters, today will be partly to mostly sunny and mild, with highs reaching the low to mid-60s and lows tonight falling into the low 40s to around 50 degrees. Friday gets even warmer, with highs climbing into the upper 60s to mid-70s, and morning sprinkles possible east of I-69.
Saturday will be the warmest day of the stretch. Breezy southerly winds and increasing moisture will send highs into the low to upper 70s across western Kentucky. Forecasters note a chance of evening showers, mainly in southwest Indiana and west Kentucky, as a cold front approaches from the northwest.
Behind that front, temperatures cool down Sunday, though skies will feature plenty of sunshine. Highs will range from the upper 50s in northern areas to upper 60s in southern counties, with lows dipping into the mid-30s to mid-40s Sunday night depending on location.
Another disturbance brings a chance of showers Monday, with highs again in the upper 50s to upper 60s before cooler air gradually settles in early next week.
NWS says the warming trend is typical ahead of mid-November frontal passages but still noteworthy given how widespread 70-degree temperatures will be on Saturday.
Residents in Paducah, Murray, Henderson, Evansville, and surrounding communities should enjoy the warm late-week stretch before breezy conditions and showers arrive Saturday evening.
