Paducah, Ky. – Heat is returning across Kentucky this week, with temperatures set to climb steadily into the 90s and no measurable rain expected through the weekend.

According to the National Weather Service in Paducah, highs will range from the mid-80s Tuesday before peaking near 94 degrees by Friday and Saturday. While humidity levels will remain relatively low, the stretch of hot, dry days is expected to persist for at least the next seven days.

Western Kentucky cities such as Owensboro, Murray, and Bowling Green will share in the warming trend, with daily highs pushing into the 90s by midweek. Road surfaces may become dangerously hot during peak afternoon hours, posing risks for pets and children. Farmers and gardeners are also being warned of drying soil conditions as rain chances stay minimal.

Residents are urged to stay hydrated, avoid prolonged outdoor activity during the afternoon, and check on neighbors without reliable cooling. Drivers should be cautious about overheated vehicles and ensure proper tire pressure during extended travel.

The heat will intensify through late week, with no signs of a pattern shift until early next week.
