Paducah, KY – Early risers across western Kentucky and surrounding states are waking up to frosty conditions this morning, as temperatures dip into the 30s across much of the region, according to the US National Weather Service Paducah, Kentucky.
A Frost Advisory remains in effect until 8 a.m. CDT, covering the Quad State area — including southern Illinois, southeast Missouri, and northwest Tennessee. Lows range from the mid-30s to near freezing in localized valleys.
Forecasters warn that frost could damage or kill sensitive vegetation if not protected. Residents are urged to cover outdoor plants or bring them indoors to prevent damage.
Conditions are expected to warm gradually through the day, with highs reaching the 50s and 60s under mostly sunny skies. However, another round of chilly nights is possible this weekend as calm winds and clear skies persist.
