Paducah, KY – A wet and unseasonably cool stretch will continue across western Kentucky through midweek, according to the National Weather Service in Paducah.
Areas of drizzle, mist, and patchy fog will linger this morning before a more widespread round of rainfall develops late Tuesday and continues through Wednesday. Forecast models suggest rain totals between 1 and 1.5 inches, with locally higher amounts possible, particularly near Cape Girardeau and Hopkinsville.
High temperatures will stay in the upper 50s to low 60s today, falling into the low to mid-50s Wednesday as breezy northwest winds develop. Skies begin to clear Thursday and Friday, with highs rebounding into the 60s—just in time for Halloween festivities.
The NWS says temperatures will remain cooler than normal into the weekend, making for a crisp, fall-like finish to October.
