Paducah, KY – A wet end to the workweek is underway across western Kentucky and the broader Quad State region as widespread showers and scattered thunderstorms continue through Friday. The National Weather Service in Paducah reports rain probabilities near 90–100% today, with storms expected to persist into Friday afternoon before tapering off.

According to forecasters, the pattern brings repeated rounds of rainfall across areas including Paducah, Owensboro, Evansville, Cape Girardeau, Madisonville, and Carbondale. Although severe weather is not currently highlighted, pockets of heavy rain and lightning may develop, especially during the afternoon and evening periods.

Temperatures will remain near to above seasonal levels, with highs in the 60s through Friday. Overnight lows will hover in the 40s and lower 50s, keeping conditions mild despite the unsettled weather.

Rain chances drop significantly by late Friday night, bringing a drier and calmer weekend. However, meteorologists note that rain is likely to return early next week, continuing the active pattern across the region.
