Paducah, KY – Temperatures across western Kentucky, southern Illinois, and southeast Missouri are warming again Monday and Tuesday, bringing springlike conditions before rain chances return later in the week.

According to the National Weather Service in Paducah, Monday will be sunny, with afternoon highs ranging from the low 40s to mid-60s across the region. Overnight lows are expected to remain mild, generally in the low to mid-30s.

The warmup continues Tuesday, when highs in the upper 50s to low 70s are possible across much of the area, making it the warmest day of the week. Skies will be partly cloudy during the day, with rain developing overnight Tuesday into early Wednesday.

Forecasters note that temperatures will remain near or above normal throughout the week and into next weekend, even as rain chances increase. After Tuesday night’s rain, Wednesday is expected to become mostly sunny again, with highs in the mid-40s to mid-50s.

Thursday is forecast to be cloudier, with highs generally in the low 40s to low 50s, while additional rain chances return for the weekend. No rainfall amounts were specified in the update.

Major travel corridors including I-24, I-69, US-60, and US-62 will see generally favorable driving conditions through Tuesday evening, before wet roads become possible overnight. Motorists traveling late Tuesday night or early Wednesday should be alert for changing conditions.

The mild temperatures may be especially noticeable for commuters, students, and outdoor workers after recent colder periods. However, residents are encouraged to remain aware of forecast updates as rain chances increase later in the week.

Officials recommend monitoring the latest forecasts from the National Weather Service as timing details for rain later in the week become clearer.
