Paducah, KY – Wet weather will continue across western Kentucky and surrounding areas through midweek, with the heaviest rainfall expected Tuesday night into Wednesday, according to the National Weather Service in Paducah.
Forecasters said an additional 1.0 to 2.5 inches of rain is possible before the system moves east. Periods of rain will persist through Wednesday, accompanied by breezy winds and unseasonably cool temperatures.
Highs are forecast to remain in the 50s to low 60s through Thursday, with overnight lows dipping into the 30s and low 40s by midweek. The heaviest rainfall may cause brief ponding on roads or minor drainage issues in low-lying areas.
Conditions are expected to improve by Thursday, with clearing skies and slightly warmer temperatures returning by Friday, when highs may reach the upper 50s to low 60s under sunshine.
Residents are encouraged to monitor local updates and use caution when traveling during heavy rain periods.
