While the rain is expected to be light, residents should still stay alert for potential localized downpours in the heaviest thunderstorms.
The NWS has assured that the rainfall should not be heavy enough to create flash flood conditions, making it a manageable event for the region. Areas like Paducah, Evansville, and the surrounding counties will likely see sporadic bursts of rain throughout the day, but no widespread flooding is expected.
