Paducah, Kentucky — Quiet and seasonably mild weather will close out New Year’s Eve and carry into New Year’s Day across western Kentucky and the lower Ohio Valley, with no travel hazards expected.
According to the National Weather Service in Paducah, New Year’s Eve conditions will remain dry, with partly cloudy skies during the day and mostly clear skies around midnight. Evening temperatures are expected to fall into the 30–35° range, with light northwest winds of 3–5 mph.
Overnight lows will dip to 25–32°, but no precipitation, fog, or icing is anticipated. Winds will remain light, limiting any cold-related hazards for outdoor celebrations.
Roadways including I-24, US-60, US-62, US-45, and US-51 are expected to remain dry and clear through the overnight hours, supporting safe travel for New Year’s Eve events and early New Year’s Day plans.
On New Year’s Day (Thursday), mostly sunny skies are forecast, with temperatures moderating into the upper 40s to near 50°, continuing a stretch of quiet weather into the weekend. Winds will remain light, and no advisories or warnings are in effect.
