Paducah, KY – A warm and dry weekend across western Kentucky will give way to a cooler, wetter start to the week, as a cold front moves through the region on Monday and Tuesday, according to the National Weather Service Paducah.

Forecasters say scattered showers and thunderstorms are expected both days, with rainfall totals increasing — particularly on Tuesday. Daytime highs are projected to range from the low 80s Monday to the upper 70s by Tuesday, followed by more seasonable temperatures midweek.

According to the NWS forecast, rainfall amounts could reach 1 to 1.5 inches in some areas, especially across Paducah, Madisonville, and Hopkinsville, with localized heavier pockets possible. The system is also expected to bring occasional gusty winds and brief downpours during the afternoon hours.

By Wednesday, conditions should turn cooler and more stable, marking a noticeable shift after several warm days in the mid-80s. Residents are advised to monitor updated forecasts and allow extra travel time during any periods of rain early in the week.
