Paducah, Kentucky – Below-freezing wind chill temperatures are expected to continue across the Quad State region through Tuesday night, with some areas experiencing near-zero or sub-zero wind chills, according to the National Weather Service in Paducah.
In a social media update posted early Sunday, the National Weather Service said wind chill values will remain in the single digits and teens much of the time, particularly during the overnight and early morning hours. Forecast graphics show the coldest wind chills near or below zero occurring along and north of the Interstate 64 corridor on Monday and Tuesday mornings.
A separate outlook shared by the agency shows that daytime high temperatures will struggle to reach freezing today and Monday before a gradual warming trend begins later in the week. Wind chills are expected to range from 0 to 8 degrees this morning, fall to 5 below to 8 above Monday morning, and remain cold again Tuesday morning with values ranging from 1 below to 10 above.
Despite some gradual moderation by midweek, the National Weather Service emphasized that cold exposure risks remain elevated through Tuesday, especially during the morning hours. Residents are encouraged to dress warmly, limit time outdoors when possible, and remain aware of cold-related safety concerns.
The National Weather Service advises continued monitoring of official updates as the prolonged cold pattern affects the region.
