Paducah, KY – After a cool Veterans Day morning, western Kentucky is set for a significant warm-up through the end of the week, according to the National Weather Service (NWS) in Paducah.

Forecasters say temperatures will moderate closer to normal levels Tuesday before climbing well above average from Wednesday through the weekend. Highs are expected to reach the lower 70s by Friday and Saturday, bringing an unseasonably mild stretch to the region.

Winds from the southwest will remain breezy at times, gusting up to 25–30 mph, the NWS noted. Aside from a slight 10–20% chance of rain early Friday morning, most areas will stay dry until Sunday night into Monday, when the next widespread rain system (30–50% chance) moves in.

The pattern marks a strong turnaround from recent chilly days, offering a few days of spring-like warmth before the next front arrives.

Residents are advised to secure outdoor items due to gusty winds and stay updated with local forecasts heading into the weekend.
