SEATTLE, Wash. – Grab the rain gear — the Pacific Northwest’s signature fall weather is back. A wet, breezy system will move through the Seattle area this weekend, bringing steady rain and gusty winds from Saturday through Sunday night. The National Weather Service warns that drivers should expect slick roads and reduced visibility, especially along I-5 and Highway 99 through the metro area.

According to forecasters in Seattle, rain will develop early Saturday and persist through much of the weekend. Heavier showers could produce minor ponding in low-lying streets and parking lots. Winds may gust near 25 mph by Saturday afternoon, with highs holding steady in the upper 50s. While no major flooding is expected, the combination of rain and leaves could clog storm drains — residents are encouraged to clear debris where safe to do so.

Sunday will stay damp, with showers continuing through the evening before tapering off by early Monday. Temperatures will hover near 59°F both days, marking a classic mid-October stretch for western Washington.

A drier and calmer pattern returns Monday and Tuesday, offering a short break for outdoor plans or fall leaf viewing before more unsettled weather moves in midweek.

Five-Day Outlook for Seattle, Washington:
Friday: Cloudy with showers, high 59°F.
Saturday: Rain likely, high 56°F, breezy.
Sunday: Showers and light wind, high 59°F.
Monday: Partly sunny, high 60°F.
Tuesday: Mostly cloudy, high 58°F, calm and dry.
