Grafton, WI – A domestic violence-related shooting in the Town of Grafton Friday afternoon left one woman seriously injured and a male suspect in custody, according to the Ozaukee County Sheriff’s Office.
Authorities say the incident occurred around 3:50 p.m. on October 24, 2025, at a residence in the 2000 block of Lake Shore Road. Deputies responded after receiving reports of an active domestic situation.
Grafton Police Officers were first to arrive at the scene, where they heard a woman calling for help. As officers approached, a male subject opened fire, striking the woman. Officers were able to take the suspect — identified only as a 53-year-old man — into custody without further incident.
The 48-year-old female victim was transported to Aurora Medical Center in Grafton and later airlifted by Flight for Life to Froedtert Hospital for treatment of serious injuries.
No officers or deputies were injured during the incident. The sheriff’s office emphasized that this was an isolated domestic incident and that there is no ongoing threat to the public.
The case remains under investigation, and charges are expected to be filed once the review is complete.
